5 key findings from SAPPHIRE NOW 2017 + ASUG Annual Conference

SAP’s SAPPHIRE NOW + ASUG Annual Conference is the world’s premier business technology event for the SAP corporate community. It was for the first time we at Hanse Orga Group were a sponsor of this event. There were 5 top trends identified that we at Hanse Orga Group see will shape how companies will operate in the future. Read on to discover for more details about the top trends.

1. Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence

Machine learning, AI, Robotics – these buzzwords are increasingly being discussed at conferences like SAPPHIRE. They are impactful and proven, and are changing the way people consider software needs and process workflows. Intelligent software has been reducing many manual and repetitive tasks for a number of years. Today, we witness the next wave of finance automation with robotics and solutions that are more and truly self-learning and thus constantly helping to optimize processes. The SAPinsider article “Robotic Process Automation Brings Greater Efficiency and Intelligence to Finance Processes”  of early 2017 highlights the key benefits of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and why companies need to embark on the robotics road.

At Hanse Orga Group we actively pursue to expand our unique solution offerings to support our clients in optimizing their entire financial automation value chain. As part of this move we have recently expanded the value we offer our clients by joining forces with the US-based companies Dolphin Enterprise Solutions Corporation and e5 Solutions Group, as well as the German company Tembit Software. These three companies enable us to bring together further robust, market-required leading technology and process solutions to empower enterprise customers across the globe.

2. ‘Digitize now or become obsolete‘ -  SAP CEO Bill McDermott

Cloud, mobile, internet of things, Blockchain and more technological advancements are opening up a new world of business opportunities. Standing still is simply not an option for companies, if they want to remain agile and successful in the future. We totally agree on this with SAP’s CEO Bill McDermott. McDermott emphasized that the new developments SAP is driving will propel SAP from the enterprise system of record to becoming the system of innovation for companies. As a Silver Partner, we work closely with SAP and are atuned with SAP’s development to ensure that our SAP-embedded solutions deliver greatest value to our customers.

3. Adoption of SAP S/4HANA is gathering pace

As ASUG research shows, more than 50% of its member companies will purchase SAP S/4HANA by 2018. More and more customer case studies show how companies can be successful with the SAP HANA database technology and S/4HANA – just like the first successful North American implementation of SAP S/4HANA with our customer Cameco, a leading Canadian mining company. For this comprehensive and very successful implementation project, Cameco were awarded the Corporate Recognition Award of the TMI Innovation & Excellence Award in 2016.

4. Cloud solutions

Traditionally known as an on premise software, SAP has been taking its software to the cloud over recent years. The most recent development being the SAP HANA Cloud Platform. This offering covers a great many services for modern businesses and opens up new opportunities to become more mobile and flexible on a global scale for corporations around the world. Our solution offerings, which are fully embedded in SAP, have always been developed in sync with SAP and thus enable companies to use the FS² software family (including Fiori apps and modern business intelligence analytics) seamlessly within their existing SAP landscape – be it on premise, in the cloud, or as a hybrid solution. The fact that our solutions are standard packages, while offering a high degree of user driven flexibility for adapting the features or technology to company-specific needs, is what drives the interest and success in them.

5. SAP working closely with partners offering powerful, complementary features for even higher process efficiency

Companies still need to solve immediate business issues and improve the return on investment (ROI) of their SAP Systems. While the simplified applications on S/4HANA provide companies with new and exciting capabilities, we continue to see a strong need for solutions that solve immediate business problems and improve the return on investment from SAP systems. As companies begin the transition to the new digital core, they need to make their existing environment as effective and as low cost as possible. By choosing SAP-certified solutions such as those provided by us at Hanse Orga Group and our entities, companies worldwide are perfectly prepared to weather the changes to the business and technology that will come their way in 2017 and beyond.
