34 countries participate in SEPA payments. Membership was also extended to countries that do not (yet) have Euro as national currency.
Participating countries are all 28 member states of the European Union (incl. French overseas departments Guadeloupe, French Guyana, Martinique and Réunion, the Canary Islands and the exclaves Ceuta and Melilla as well as the Portuguese islands Azores and Madeira.

Not part of SEPA are the British Channel Islands Jersey and Guernsey, the Isle of Man, and the Danish Faroe Islands and Greenland. The small states Monaco, San Marina and Vatican City are also not part of SEPA, even though the Euro is their national currency.
